Executive Director
Nicole Rodriguez is the Executive Director and a founding member of Valley Urban Action Alliance, a Phoenix 501(c)(4) advancing zoning reform, transit, and safer streets. She is President of Valley Urban’s affiliated 501(c)(3), Urban Phoenix Project. Her coalition wins include Phoenix's parking reform text amendment, tree protection zones in city code, and, warm-Kelvin street and park lighting standards.
She launched and leads the coalition working to remove the city's reverse lanes, an effort that has drawn major public turnout. Recognized with community awards for her advocacy, Nicole serves on the Encanto Village Planning Committee, is a registered municipal lobbyist, and has worked on ADUs, Vision Zero, heat mitigation, and the General Land Use Plan.
Associate Director
Analise Ortiz is a dedicated and creative communications professional with a decade of experience in strategic communications planning, content creation, legislative advocacy, media relations, political campaigns, and public speaking training.
Ortiz graduated summa cum laude from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and is a former television news reporter. Prior to founding Ortiz Communications LLC, Ortiz was a communications strategist at the National ACLU and the ACLU of Arizona. She managed her own communications and social media for her winning campaign to the Arizona State Legislature in 2022.
